This project aims to explore and analyze innovation policies in local government collaboration to encourage more effective, efficient and sustainable development. The collaboration between local governments with various interests, such as the private sector, the civil society, and the educational institutions, is crucial to creating innovative solutions to overcoming the challenge of local development. Regional policy innovation can accelerate development programs, improve public service quality, and create synergy that can support optimal resource management.
The background of this project focuses on the importance of intersector collaboration in innovative public policy formulation and implementation, especially at the local government level. The region in Indonesia is facing various challenges in terms of resource management, public service, and infrastructure development. Therefore, innovation policy that puts the collaboration between the local governments and other sectors into a key to creating more targeted solutions and a positive impact on society.
The whole point of this project is to identify factor- factors that are encouraging or impeding collaboration in local government innovation policies, as well as to evaluate the successful collaborative models that have been applied. This project also aims to give a policy recommendation that can increase effectiveness and continuity of interstate collaboration with various related parties.
The expected impact of this project is increased public policy and service quality in the local level, with the creation of more productive and innovative collaboration between government sector, private and public. With effective innovation policies, local governments can be more responsive to the needs of society and accelerate the achievements of sustainable development.
