This project aims to identify and analyze key factors that can improve government performance management systems in Indonesia. Effective performance management systems are very important to ensure that the government can provide quality, efficient, accountable public service. In Indonesia, even though there's been various initiatives for government performance management, there are still challenges for consistent performance and performance measurements on various levels of government.
The background of this project focuses on understanding factor- factors that affect the performance of government institutions, both from regulatory sides, human resources, information systems, to organizational culture. Indonesia has adopted various policies and systems to improve government performance, such as the Accountability System of Government Accountability, but the application is often inhibited by various structural and technical constraints. Therefore, this project will provide a thorough picture of the challenges facing and factor- factors that need to be repaired to improve government performance.
The primary purpose of this project is to dig up the printable lessons from the practices in Indonesia, identify the factor- key factors that contribute to the increase of performance management systems, and give analysis-based recommendations. This project will also discuss how repair in the management of resources, transparency and surveillance can strengthen the performance management system.
The expected impact of this project is created by recommendations that can be implemented to improve efficiency and accountability in government performance management. By repairing the performance management system, the government is expected to be more responsive to the public needs, and more efficient in the use of public budgets and the achievements of national development.
